Yang Haisong, label CEO, musician, and resident producer, has been featured on Bandcamp Daily. Haisong is a busy man, besides running the label and performing with his seminal band P.K.14 he also finds time to record with Dear Eloise, After Argument, and Alpine Decline, as well as, produce pretty much every up-and-coming young band in Beijing. Just the list of records he’s done for Maybe Mars includes almost half our catalog: Carsick Cars’ “s/t”, Ourself Beside Me, Birdstriking, The Fuzz, Hiperson, and Alpine Decline are but a few. The Bandcamp Daily’s profile, written by local music critic Josh Feola, gives a good background and highlights some of his work. Jump over to their site to check it out.
